Tim König is our friendly German-American Abruzzo Expat Representative. He moved to the beautiful medieval city of Atri (TE), known as ‘the city of art,’ from the Dallas–Fort Worth Metro Area in 2024 with his Sicilian husband, Giulio. Tim and Giulio coordinate monthly meetups for expats in Abruzzo at local venues, hosting traditional Sunday lunches at agriturismos that serve fresh, delicious local cuisine. They also organize aperitivo gatherings and wine tastings at local vineyards and cantinas. Currently, they are planning summer adventures for Abruzzo expats at lidos in the Cerrano Marine Reserve on the Adriatic.
