The exhibition “Dal futurismo all’arte virtuale” (From Futurism to Virtual Art) curated by Giuliano Gasparotti and Francesco Mazzei, will take place from September 9, 2023, to January 14, 2024, at La Vaccheria, the exhibition space of Rome Capital managed by the Municipality IX Roma Eur, which is celebrating its one-year anniversary.
The exhibited works come from two private collections and have been gathered by the Rosini Gutman Collection curated by Gianfranco Rosini and Elisabetta Cuchetti.
With over 100 works – from Balla to Calder, from Burri to Dalì, including Modigliani, Magritte, Manzoni, Fontana, Klein, Warhol, Niki de Saint Phalle, Liechtenstein, de Chirico, and many others – the exhibition aims to revisit the main stages of the great revolutionary art of the 20th century. It places this art in dialogue, thanks to an evocative dreamlike setting, with contemporary installations of immersive and digital art.
The exhibition, with free admission, is organized by the Municipality IX with the support of Rome Capital and in collaboration with Zètema Progetto Cultura. Organizational coordination is by Gianfranco Rosini for IconArs S.R.L. The production of the artistic environments is curated by Kifitalia.
