  • The American University of Rome is looking for an International Admissions Counselor to join its Admissions Office.

    The selected candidate will collaborate with colleagues and faculty to provide a wide range of services to students in support of recruitment, admissions, admissions counseling and related operations: information to prospective students, admissions interviews, transfer of credits and certificates’ evaluation etc. The International Admissions Counselor will coordinate and support all recruiting activities on and off campus, invitational programs and communication with high schools. S/he cooperatively assists in managing an efficient strategic communication. This position will report to the Director of Admissions and Financial Aid.


    The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor degree with at least one year of work experience, preferred minimum experience in admissions counseling or equivalent. Fluency in English, proficiency in another language and the ability to speak Italian is considered a plus. Flexibility, strong cross-cultural interpersonal skills, public speaking skills and the ability to present the University in a positive way are requested. Large travel involved. Respect, integrity, compassion and service in all aspects of interaction with students, parents, faculty and colleagues. Good familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet and database software tools. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.


    Italian working papers are essential. Term employment contract. Full-time position.
