“Metro B will be closed at 9pm from 2 March to 6 August: shuttle bus provided

The Castro Petrorio – Laurentina section, in both directions, will not be active from 2 March to 6 August from 9 pm onwards. The early evening closure is caused by the construction of the new Metro C Imperial Forum station.

Atac, as it already was for the first phase of the works, will therefore activate, from 21 to 23 (Friday and Saturday until 1:30 am), the substitute shuttle buses MB. The replacement bus service follows the same timetable as the metro line B. The Castro Pretorio-Rebibbia and Castro Pretorio-Jonio routes will remain regular.

Not only. On some weekends from March to July, the Castro Pretorio – Laurentina section will be closed for the entire days of Saturday and Sunday with the MB bus shuttles operating from 5:30 on Saturday until 01:30, and on Sunday from 5:30 at 11:30 pm. The stop weekends will therefore be 14/15 and 21/22 in March; 18/19; 2/3, 9/10 in April and 23/24 in May; on 6/7 and 27/28 in June; on 25/26 in July.

On 4th and 5th April, 1st May, from 11th to 21st June, and 4th, 5th, 11th, 12th, 18th and 19th July, the service of line B will be regular on the entire Laurentina – Rebibbia / Jonio section.

The replacement bus service on the Castro Pretorio-Laurentina section follows the same timetable as the metro line B.

Details of the replacement bus stops are on the Atac website. They will be easy to find and reach by following the signs for the roadways that guide, step by step, from the station to the bus stop.

In addition to the MB shuttle, there are numerous options for those who normally use the B metro. The Laurentina-Eur Magliana section is also served by bus line 31 while the Eur Fermi-Eur Magliana section is also served on lines 771 and 780. Then, from Eur, you can reach the Center directly with lines 714 and 30. The Piramide, San Paolo and Eur Magliana stations continue to be served by the Rome-Lido regional railway.

To reach metro A directly without going through Termini, you can also use tram 3 from Piramide, Circo Massimo and Colosseum to Manzoni and San Giovanni stations. Tram line 3 can also be used by Piramide, Circo Massimo and Colosseum to reach the Policlinico B metro station from where the B subway is active. Between Piramide and Tiburtina, with the same ticket valid by metro, the trains of the regional railways can be used.
