Residence permits, citizenship, clearance for seasonal work.

These are just some of the procedures for which the extension, issued by the Department for Civil Liberties and Immigration of the Ministry of the Interior, is valid due to the COVID-19 emergency. This is the effect of the suspension of the terms provided for by law decree 17 March 2020, number 18 (so-called “Cura Italia”) by virtue of which valid certificates, certificates, permits, concessions, authorizations and authoritative documents, however named, expiring between on 31 January and 15 April 2020.

Indications have been given to the police headquarters by the Department of Public Security – Central Directorate of Immigration and the Border Police – regarding the issue or renewal of residence permits, in particular it has been highlighted that all residence permits expiring between 31 January and April 15, 2020 are extended for validity until June 15, 2020, giving holders the opportunity to make the renewals after this date”.

In detail, the suspension of the terms concerns:

Release of the permit to seasonal work; Issuing of work permit for particular cases (research, blue card, inter-corporate transfers);

Conversion of residence permits from study to subordinate work and from seasonal work to non-seasonal subordinate work;

Issuing no impediment to family reunification;

EU residence permits for long-term residents;

Citizenship by marriage or residence;

Statelessness certificate;

Benefits paid to victims of terrorism;

Recovery of alimony abroad in favor of the children of parents of different nationalities;

Transmission of their financial statements by supervised entities ANVCG, ANPPIA, ANED;

and others.
