A few tips and tricks to deal with Italian red tape:1. Always find out from an official source exactly what you need before making an application.2. Double-check the hours of the office and ensure it isn’t a public holiday.3. Always take a duplicate of everything.4. Expect not to have the right paperwork the first time.5. Allow plenty of time for waiting.6. Ask at least 3 people at the same question to see what the answer is, sometimes you have to ask more than 3.7. Remember most public office works do not like their job, so make a nice approach to the window and be polite. Use some charm it definitely works.
