Sunday, February 16 at the Circolo degli Illuminati the most fanciful carnival in the Capital comes to life, with over 300 artists from all over Italy, including artisans, stylists, painters, astrologers, fortune tellers, jugglers, musicians, street artists, and dancers.

Hippie Festivals are organized in the heart of Garbatella and are suitable for families and young people, as well as being a paradise for shopping and fans of fashion and design. The best selection of crafts, vintage and second hand: whimsical jackets, hand-painted jeans, shoes, vinyl, ceramics, household items, sunglasses, plants, prints, posters, and anything else. In the market, you will also find bio natural cosmetics, purification kits, or products that purify the aura by healing the body physically and emotionally; medicinal plants, room fragrances and candles made of soy wax with flower ingredients. Many products created with natural materials, from wood to stone, from leather to silver, but also paintings and sculptures.

The hippie Carnival Festival is also about shows, music and dancing. At the opening, there will be the Sahara’s Secretes oriental dance group that will accompany you in the magical atmosphere of the oriental world with choreography and solos that explore the various styles of the Raqs Sharqi.

From 15.00 the Shape Company will leave viewers speechless thanks to the breathtaking performances of acrobatics, fakirs, electric boogie, and others.

At 16.30 Al Qamar Ensemble presents a compelling and innovative show that combines contemporary style with traditional oriental dance.

At 17.00 THUMB’s live music arrives with their contemporary tribal style inspired by African music, with psychedelic contaminations of didgeridoos and urban atmospheres. It is a musical project born in Rome in 2018 from the meeting between Giuliano Lucarini and Christian Muela.

Following, the Twins Project group by Francesca Trezza will take you on a journey through spicy melodies and oriental rhythms, tribal dances and contemporary fusions.

The hippie Carnival Festival will close at 19:00 with the last show of Jimmy Twice’s vinyl DJ set and its vast Funk and Downtempo repertoire.
