What you can and can not do in Rome and Lazio in the Yellow zone

Rome and Lazio in the yellow zone from Monday February 1st. With the decrease in the Rt index, the restrictions imposed to contain infections from Covid-19. The rules of the yellow zone will remain in force until February 15, when the new ordinance of the Minister of Health is expected.

Rome and Lazio in the yellow zone:  The travel ban between Regions and the curfew at 22:00 to 5:00 still remains.  Travel is allowed for proven work needs, necessities or health reasons.

Visiting friends and relatives allowed?

Yes you are allowed to visit friends and relatives. Allowed, once a day, to move to another inhabited private home in the same Region, between 5:00 and before 22:00, for a maximum of two people, in addition to those already living together in the destination home. The person or two people who move can still bring with them children under age 14.

Bars and restaurants reopen!

In the yellow zone in Lazio and in Rona, bars and restaurants reopen. It is possible to consume food and drinks in bars, restaurants and other catering services, from 5:00 to 18:00. At the same times, the sale with take-away of food and drinks is allowed without restrictions. The sale with takeaway is also possible from 18:00 to 22:00, but at these times it is forbidden for those with their main activity is that of a bar without a kitchen or retail trade. Home delivery is allowed without time limits, but must in any case take place in compliance with the regulations on packaging and delivery of products.

Shops and malls: open or closed?

On public holidays and the day before holidays, commercial establishments inside shopping centers and markets are closed, with the exception of pharmacies, parapharmacies, health centers, food outlets, tobacconists and newsagents. To carry out their businesses, retail shops must ensure, in addition to the 1 meter distance, that the entrances takes place in a delayed manner and prevent people from standing or stopping inside the premises longer than the time necessary to purchase goods.

Museums, exhibitions and archaeological parks reopen but not on weekends!

Yellow zone allows museums and cultural sites to reopen to the public, but only from Monday to Friday, with the exception of public holidays. In Rome civic museums and the archaeological park of the Colosseum reopen: many permanent collections and new exhibitions to visit. However, visitng these places include contingent admissions, thermoscanner, mandatory use of the mask and spacing. In short, general compliance with anti-Covid measures. Theaters and cinemas are still closed.

 

Sports activity in the yellow zone!

Gym activities, swimming pools, wellness centers and spas are suspended, except for the provision of services falling within the essential levels of assistance for rehabilitation or therapeutic activities and for the training of athletes, professionals and non-professionals, who must participate in competitions and events of national importance recognized by CONI or the Italian Paralympic Committee.
